About our Junction City concrete contractor crew

How I got into concrete
I grew up on a family farm where if something broke, you fixed it. Pouring feed pads and patching barn floors is where I first learned concrete, and it's where I learned that a slab is only as good as the ground under it. I worked on other crews before starting Junction City Concrete in 2021.
We're a concrete contractor based in Junction City, and we work in the cities around it. We're licensed and fully insured. Most of our calls come from homeowners who need a driveway, patio or garage floor, along with property owners who need a lot, a foundation or a wall. I care most about the base, the forms, the joints and the curing, the work nobody sees once it's poured, because that's what decides how your slab holds up. I'd rather tell you plainly what concrete can and can't do than oversell it. If yours is cracking, sinking or holding water, get in touch and I'll come look at it myself.

Driveways, patios, steps and slabs
What working with us looks like
The person who plans it is there for the pour
I look over your job myself, and I'm on site the day the concrete goes in. The person who measured your driveway or patio is the one making sure it's built the way we planned it.
The hidden work gets checked first
Before any concrete arrives, we check the base, the forms, the rebar, the steel that holds a slab together, and which way the water will run, so the slab drains away from your house. If a budget has to give, I'd trim the finish before the base, because a nice surface on a poor base still settles.
A written estimate you can compare
After I walk the site with you, you get a written estimate that lists exactly what's included. That way you can line it up against other bids and see what each one actually covers.
How we handle your job
Walk the site
We measure and walk the site with you, looking at where water runs and what the old slab is telling us before we suggest anything.
Permits first
We check with the city or county office on each job. When a permit's needed, we pull it before work starts and call in inspections as we go.
Dig and pack
We dig out and pack the subgrade, the ground the slab sits on, so your new concrete doesn't settle with loose dirt.
Pour and joints
We try to pour ahead of the midday heat, then cut control joints, grooves that give the slab a planned place to crack, so cracks land where we chose.
Cure and clean
We tell you how long curing takes, the wait while concrete gains strength, before you walk or drive on it, and we leave your yard clean.
